:: CURIOSIDADES:

- Dave Abell entrou no Purgatory substituindo Richard Bateman, que saiu para entrar no Agent Steel. Antes de entrar no Purgatory chegou a tocar em muitas bandas de garagem em Washington DC, EUA, mas sua paixão era a banda The Harlot, na qual tocavam, junto de suas músicas próprias, muitas covers do Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden e Accept durante os shows.

- Dave Abell só chegou a gravar a música "Dracula", presente na última demo da banda, duas músicas para divulgação à gravadoras ("Winter Nights" e "The Final Conflict (Damien)" e outras duas demos para gravadoras já com o nome Iced Earth, "Haunted House" e "Plea Of Insanity".

- Dave Abell foi quem gravou as partes de baixo no álbum "The Dark Saga" mas saiu da banda antes do lançamento, sendo substituído somente para a sessão de fotos por Keith Menser (que nunca tocou nenhuma nota com o Iced Earth).

- Dave Abell quando estava no Iced Earth e Purgatory, sempre tocou baixo, mas na sua mais recente banda, Unearthed, trocou o baixo pela guitarra e vocal após a saída de Gene Adam (também ex-Iced Earth) da banda.
